  • A minimum of 2 participants is required for a tour. If only 1 person is booked on a tour, A la Française - Champagne will contact the customer (phone or email) to reschedule or refund the total amount.
  • Please note that down the cellar the average temperature is 10°C, so do not forget to take a jacket.
  • If you come from Paris for the day, book your train in advance to be sure to have availability and a low price.

TRAIN INFORMATION IF YOU ARE COMING FROM PARIS: If you come from Paris by train, book it as soon as possible to get availability and the best fares.

FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY: During the week, we recommend you to book the train n°2707 (TGV INOUI), leaving Paris Gare de l’Est at 7:39AM and arriving in Reims Centre at 8:25AM.

SATURDAY AND SUNDAY: During the weekend, we recommend you to take the train n°2807 (TGV INOUI), leaving Paris Gare de l’Est at 8:13AM and arriving in Champagne-Ardenne TGV at 8:53AM. You will have the possibility to choose this pick-up (Gare Champagne Ardenne TGV) during the booking process.

Meet your expert guide at 9.00 am in front of the tourist office situated next to Reims centre train station and start the day with a drive through the vineyard.

Drive through the Champagne Avenue in Epernay, capital of Champagne where some of the most prestigious estates are based (Pol Roger, Perrier Jouët, Mercier, Boizel, Moët & Chandon).

Visit Moët & Chandon, the most famous producer of Champagne, discover the champagne making process and enjoy some of the 150 years- old-cuvee “Brut Imperial”.

Enjoy a moment in the vineyards, with breathtaking views on the UNESCO world’s heritage Champagne vines and acquire knowledge about the particularities of our “terroir”. You will then discover the village of Hautvillers, birthplace of Champagne. Get to enter the church where the famous monk Dom Pérignon is buried.

Be welcomed in Mareuil-sur-Ay at a typical Champagne House (Le Clos Corbier). After a Champagne quizz, train your nose to identify the different aromas and flavors that can be found in Champagne through an olfactory workshop.

Get competitive as you get to identify blindly 3 different Champagnes from boutique wineries all while eating some local snacks.

Enjoy a regional lunch with paired wines and Champagnes in a fun and familial atmosphere. Get introduced to local products like baguette, Reims’ ham, regional cheeses, pink biscuit, Ratafia… (can be adapted to allergies or specific diets).

Appreciate the charming hillsides of Champagne and peek-behind-the-scenes of a family-run boutique winery. Visit the traditional press, tank room and cellar of an authentic Champagne grower. Stroll down the cool cellar corridors and glance at the immense quantity of bottles slowly maturing. Enjoy several tastings of their best–seller “cuvees” and find the best values of Champagne!

After a day full of experiences and precious souvenirs, your guide will drop you off, in front of the tourist office situated next to Reims centre train station at 6.00 pm.
